See A Little Lyte

Row, row, row

Keep moving. Your body, mind, and soul.  If you can and are lucky enough to do it, walk.  As St. Augustine may have said, "Walking solves it."  Sometimes, the oars will come out of their oarlocks.  That's okay.  Be patient, gentle, and put them back in.  Don't fight the water with force but create a rhythm and breathe while you move.

Your boat

Your body, mind, and soul were given to you as a free gift.  No one asked for this gift but we all can choose to receive it.  Be receptive.  Honor the gift, be grateful for it, and take care of it everyday.  Fluid surrounds a boat; air above and water below much the way that, as John O'Donohue said, your soul surrounds your body.  If your body is breaking down, try to repair it with love and care so that you can keep balanced and stay afloat as long as you are able.  Take care to pay attention when you sense that all is not well with the fluid around you.  If something is not right, right it through keen awareness, calm, and love.  Pray to God.  And row away from the rocks.

Gently

You are tempted to go fast with brute force.  This is fun and exhilarating for a moment but exhaustion will soon get the best of you.  Your best use of energy is to love people, all life, and our great home as you love yourself.  Be in rhythm with the your heart, breath, and body and gentleness will rise so that you glide on the surface.

Down the stream

Gravity is pushing you toward the great sea from whence you came.  Hopefully, this will happen while you are still aware of being in your boat!  Don't fight this with force but let the fluid forces around you guide you on the journey to where you belong, to home.

Merrily, merrily, merrily

Enjoy.  Be in the joy.  Sadness and happiness are fleeting.  The joy and merriment of this one precious life transcend everything else.  There are so many sights, fragrances, sounds, textures, and indescribable sensations to behold, to hold in your hands, to learn from, to enjoy.  Be in the joy of them and don't let the words and signposts that try to conceptualize them take away from your honest, genuine joy.

Life is but a dream.

If this isn't true then you are living a nightmare. Don't live your nightmares.  Dream a life and live your dreams!  Let them come to you when you are awake and even when you are sleeping.  No one can really answer "Why?" with anything truer than "I do not know."  So dream a life and live a life of your dreams.
